Joe Venezia of AT&T and Bob Dever of digital garden presented the best ideas to come from AT&T's nearly 15 years in the business of rule-based staffing to the New York chapter of IHRIM on May 15, 2002.

As the current process owner, Joe was the primary presenter. Bob provided some historical perspective (he was the database design consultant for the first ATS in 1989), and details of the current dgStaff based ATS implementation.

In response to questions, Joe reported that the implementation of dgStaff at AT&T had permitted the reduction in numbers of staffing professionals from 16 to 4, due to the automation of staffing rules.
